Lines, Layers & Living Things

I work intuitively, building my artworks through layers and materials that are allowed to remain visible and alive.

I am drawn to texture, fractures, lines and states of colour more than perfection. My work moves between animals, mythology, memory and emotional presence, creating images that feel less like illustrations and more like fragments of an inner world.

As a mixed-media artist, I combine different materials and processes to create depth, atmosphere and character. Each piece develops through a dialogue between control and chance, allowing unexpected marks, textures and stories to emerge.

Alongside my artistic practice, I have spent more than twenty years working in social care. These experiences have shaped the way I see vulnerability, personality and the things that exist beneath the surface.

For me, art is not a polished product. It is a living process of layering, transformation and authenticity.
